Royles Brook Primary School

Our Mission Statement

”Our aim at Royles Brook Primary School is to allow all of our children to attain high standards of individual achievement in a happy, friendly and secure environment.”

During Science Week, we took part in a workshop where we could try a variety of experiments. The children absolutely loved it!

Both Year 5 classes joined together during Science Week to predict which chocolate would melt the quickest- a very messy but pleasurable lesson for them. We then turned the chocolate back into a solid and had it for a treat!

Sycamore Class are trialing some fitness monitors to see how many steps they can do daily. The competition is up and running!

Both Year 5 classes came together and worked in mixed-class groups to create ‘for and against’ arguments for a mock debate. They all thoroughly enjoyed and will, no doubt, become great politicians when they are older, if they choose.

This half-term, Sycamore Class have been learning about Anglo-Saxons in our Topic. They have thoroughly enjoyed researching about different Gods; constructing and re-creating some weapons; and writing poems. Here are the brilliant pieces that the children have completed for their homework, with some volunteers for show and tell…
